The “Sudbury Area Management Board” was established in 1991 via Federal transfer of Employment and Training funds from Human Resource Development Canada (Service Canada). In 1992 the organization changed it’s name to “Gezhtoojig Employment and Training”. 

MiigWetch to our Elders who have provided guidance to our organization since it’s inception. These two elders also provided us with our Anishinabe name.

Zhaashkwogiizhigokwe (Flora Tabobondung), Wasauksing First Nation, who passed on to the spirit world.
